Astrology

Free will and destiny

What the stars can show, and what stays in your hands.

What the old book believed

The question people asked astrologers most, a hundred years ago, was whether the stars decide everything. The 1927 book answered no.

It said a chart shows tendencies and a pattern to build on. It shows what is likely if nothing changes. How far you grow your gifts and work through your weak spots is up to you.

Destiny brings the experience, it said. Free will decides what you make of it.

An old conversation

This question is as old as astrology. The book reached back to Ptolemy, writing in the second century, who said the stars can show the shape of things but never every detail, and that a person's own judgement has to be part of any reading.

It also warned against using the stars as an excuse. Blaming the sky for our choices is easy. The book called free will our highest possession, and said the soul is not bound by fate.

A map, not a master

The book used sailing to explain it. A sailor with a chart and a compass has an advantage over one who drifts. The wind is the same for both. How you set your sails is yours.

What I believe

This is the heart of how I read, with the cards and with the stars. I can never tell you what to do. I can only tell you what I see.

A chart, like a reading, shows the energy around you and the patterns you carry. Energy shifts and changes. You are always free to choose.

Your life, your lessons, your growth.
