The Moon's nodes
Two points in every chart that many astrologers read for the direction of growth.
What the nodes are
The nodes are not planets. They are the two points where the Moon's path crosses the Sun's path across the sky. Eclipses happen near them.
The north node and the south node always sit exactly opposite each other, and they move backwards through the signs, taking about eighteen and a half years to go all the way round.
How they are read
Many astrologers today read the south node as what comes easily, the habits and gifts you already carry. The north node is read as the direction you are growing toward, less comfortable and more rewarding.
Older astrology called them the head and tail of the dragon. In India they are Rahu and Ketu.
Sit with this
What comes easily to you is a gift. It is not always where you are meant to stay.
Your life, your lessons, your growth.
