The Power of Awareness: How Our Choices Shape the World
· Rosemary, intuitive tarot reader
Have you ever noticed how someone can walk into a room and completely change how it feels? Sometimes you sense warmth and peace before a single word is spoken. Other times, you can feel tension without anyone having to explain what is wrong. These are the kinds of experiences that remind us to pay attention to energy and the way we influence one another.
Throughout my journey as an intuitive, I have spent years learning to recognize and develop my abilities. One of the most important things this journey has taught me is that awareness changes the way we experience life. When we begin paying closer attention to our thoughts, emotions, intentions, and the energy we carry, we start to understand ourselves on a much deeper level.
I believe we are living through an important period of awakening in human consciousness. More people are asking questions about who they are, why they are here, and what connects us to something greater than ourselves. People are exploring meditation, energy healing, chakras, intuition, and ancient spiritual teachings. I love seeing that curiosity because seeking understanding is an important part of our growth. But there is something I want people to remember. Learning about spirituality and actually living with spiritual awareness are two different things.
We can spend years studying consciousness and still struggle with patience. We can understand the importance of love and still allow fear or frustration to influence how we treat others. That doesn’t mean we have failed. It means we are human, and part of our journey is learning to recognize these moments and grow through them.
One of the greatest gifts we have is free will. Every day, we make choices about how we respond to the world around us. We may not always have control over our circumstances, but we can learn to become more conscious of our reactions. When someone upsets us, we can pause before responding. When we recognize that we have hurt someone, we can take responsibility. When life becomes overwhelming, we can give ourselves permission to become still and reconnect with our inner peace.
These choices may seem small, but think about how much difference they can make. A kind word can change someone’s day. A moment of patience can prevent unnecessary conflict. Sometimes simply listening to another person without judgment can help them feel seen and understood.
Through my intuitive work, I have learned that developing spiritual abilities comes with responsibility. Being able to recognize energy or receive intuitive impressions does not make anyone better than another person. I don’t believe spiritual growth is about standing above others. It is about becoming more aware of ourselves and using what we learn with humility, wisdom, and compassion.
We also have to understand that compassion does not mean accepting harmful behavior. You can love someone and still have boundaries. You can forgive someone without allowing the same situation to continue. You can recognize another person’s struggles while still expecting honesty and accountability. Love and responsibility belong together.
Our connection to Source is at the heart of my spiritual understanding. Through meditation, reflection, and intuitive awareness, I have learned the importance of returning to that connection, especially when the world around us feels overwhelming. We can become so caught up in daily responsibilities, disagreements, and distractions that we forget to spend time with ourselves.
Sometimes all it takes is a few quiet minutes. Close your eyes, breathe slowly, and allow your thoughts to settle. Imagine breathing in peaceful white light and releasing the tension you have been carrying. Pay attention to how you feel. Notice what your body and emotions are telling you. You don’t have to force an experience or search for an extraordinary sign. Give yourself the space to become present.
The more we practice awareness, the easier it becomes to recognize the patterns that influence our lives. We begin to notice when fear is making decisions for us, when our emotions need attention, and when we are acting in ways that don’t reflect the person we want to become. This is where meaningful change begins.
I often think about how different our world could be if more people became conscious of the energy and intentions they bring into their relationships, families, and communities. Imagine choosing understanding before judgment, compassion before cruelty, and cooperation instead of always needing to be right.
We don’t have to agree on everything to treat one another with dignity. We don’t have to share the same spiritual beliefs to recognize the importance of kindness. And we certainly don’t have to be perfect to contribute something beautiful to this world.
Humanity’s awakening is not just about discovering hidden knowledge or developing spiritual abilities. It is also about what we do with the understanding we gain. Are we becoming more compassionate? Are we learning to take responsibility for our choices? Are we helping others feel empowered, or are we allowing fear and judgment to create more separation?
These are the questions that matter.
I want to leave you with something I’ve come to understand deeply through my own journey. Knowledge can open our minds, but love is what helps us put that knowledge into practice. The more aware we become, the more responsibility we have to use that awareness in ways that bring healing, understanding, and peace into our lives.
Humanity will not awaken through knowledge alone. We awaken when we learn to love with the same intensity that we seek the truth.
And that begins with each of us, through the choices we make every single day.
With love and light,
