The Seven Chakras: Connecting with the Light of Source

· Rosemary, intuitive tarot reader

There is a sacred light within you that remains with you through every chapter of your life. It is your connection to Source, the love and consciousness from which we come. Consciousness means our awareness, our ability to experience and notice life. In my intuitive and Reiki work, I turn toward that light and listen to what I sense beneath the words. I mirror the energy I perceive so a person can recognize more of what is moving within them. I work with the chakras as seven sacred centers of spiritual energy. A chakra is an energy center, and each one offers a place to explore the relationship between our human experience and our soul. Together, they invite us to care for our earthly lives while deepening our connection to Source. I approach this work with respect, because spiritual awareness asks us to listen with both an open heart and humility.

The root chakra, at the base of the spine, brings my attention to the soul’s experience of being here on Earth. I connect it with belonging, support, and grounding. Grounding means returning your attention to your body and the present moment. When I feel my feet resting on the earth, I remember that this human life is part of my spiritual journey. Caring for the body is one way we honor the soul living through it.

The sacral chakra, in the lower belly below the navel, invites us into the sacred movement of feeling and creation. Here, I reflect on the emotions we carry, the joy we allow ourselves, and the ideas waiting to come to life. Our feelings deserve a loving welcome. Through art, movement, or honest reflection, we can give expression to something that has been living quietly within us.

The solar plexus chakra, in the upper belly, represents the inner fire of confidence and personal choice in my practice. I connect it with the courage to honor what our soul is asking us to understand. This is where I reflect on how I use my own power. Speaking honestly, keeping a promise to myself, and making a thoughtful decision are ways I bring that spiritual intention into my life.

The heart chakra, at the center of the chest, is where I bring my awareness to love, compassion, and our connection with one another. I picture the white light of Source resting here, making room for tenderness. Joy and grief can both be held with love. Receiving care, honoring our feelings, and recognizing the sacredness of another person are all part of the heart’s teaching.

The throat chakra, at the throat, invites us to give voice to what is true within us. I connect it with speaking from the soul and listening with care. Words can carry comfort, understanding, and the courage to be honest. Before I share what I sense in a reading, I listen inwardly and consider how to express it with kindness. The way we share our insight matters.

The third eye chakra, between the eyebrows, connects with intuition, our inner sense of understanding. Developing my intuitive awareness has taken learning, practice, and attention. I become quiet enough to notice what I sense and give that understanding time to unfold. Spiritual insight asks me to stay humble, keep learning, and honor each person’s freedom to understand their own path.

The crown chakra, at the top of the head, represents our connection to Source and the greater consciousness we belong to. In meditation, I imagine white light entering through the crown and moving gently through each energy center. I let it settle into my heart and continue toward the earth beneath my feet. This practice helps me turn my awareness toward the sacred connection I carry into everyday life.

If you feel drawn to explore, sit comfortably and breathe naturally. Imagine the white light of Source surrounding you. Bring your attention gently to one chakra and ask, “What within me is asking for love and understanding?” Allow yourself time to listen. A feeling, a thought, or a moment of quiet can become something to reflect on. Let the experience unfold at your own pace. For me, working with the chakras is a way of listening more deeply to the life of the soul. Your body deserves care, your feelings deserve to be heard, and your spiritual growth deserves patience. As you return to your day, carry that tenderness with you. The connection you nurture in stillness can find expression in the way you speak, create, love, and honor the sacred life within you. ✨
